A real estate development under construction in Dubailand

  • Significant progress made in key real estate developments within Dubai Sports City
  • Victory Heights and Canal Residence West taking shape fast to ensure on time delivery
  • Cricket and hockey stadia will be completed in 2008 while Ernie Els Golf Club has already been inaugurated

Dubailand, the 3 billion sq ft real estate development offering one of the biggest leisure, entertainment and tourism options in the Middle East, organized a special tour of the realty projects within it for the media. The tour covered the iconic MotorCity, Dubai Sports City, City of Arabia, Universal Studios, Dubai Outlet Mall and Al Sahra Desert Resort. Mohammad Al Habbai, CEO, Dubailand and Ahmed Tajedeen, Director, Marketing, Dubailand, accompanied the media group and answered their queries.

Mohammad Al Habbai said, “Dubailand is a unique 3 billion sq ft destination that has been designed to catalyze the position of Dubai as an international hub of family tourism, appealing to tourist segments across genders, age group, world regions and activity preferences. The diverse projects under Dubailand include theme parks, eco-tourism projects, shopping malls, restaurants and homes that are being developed by the UAE, GCC and international investors”.

The various real estate developments in Dubailand especially Dubai Sports City are in different stages of construction. While some projects are complete and operational like Al Sahra Desert Resort, others are either in the initial stages or on track for completion between 2009/2010 such as City of Arabia.

The development tour helped the media to get an insight into the current status of the real estate projects within Dubailand. The heads of the various developments were on hand to explain the construction progress. The tour also presented the media a rare opportunity to photograph the various landmark realty projects emerging in Dubailand in Dubai.
