| Real estate sales in Dubai last week surpassed Dh1.18 billion, according to Dubai Land Department |
Real estate sales in Dubai last week (March 23 to 27, 2008) surpassed Dh1.38 billion, according to Dubai Land Department. The transactions considered include sales of land plots, apartments and villas across the emirate of Dubai.
The combined value of land sales during the period was Dh1.18 billion. The top three sales were recorded at Sheikh Zayed Road; the transaction involving Dh78,590,000 for an open plot in the same area was the biggest sale of the week.
The total value of villas sold during the period reached Dh52,755,876. All the sales were either at Emirates Hills Third or Arabian Ranches. The overall value of apartments sold during last week was Dh153,664,460. Al Ruwayyah has witnessed the highest number of land sales (129) in Dubai in March 2008 so far, followed by Palm Jumeirah (77). Also, there is a heightened interest in completed villa projects in Dubai, like Arabian Ranches and Emirates Hills which have seen a rise in sales in recent weeks.
