HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Sheikh of Abu Dhabi, has allocated Dh16 billion to develop infrastructure in the Northern Emirates, i.e., Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
The move is to accelerate the economic development and the real estate boom experienced by all the emirates and improves the quality of life for the UAE citizens inhabiting in the remote areas.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, UAE, said, “The allocation will be used to fund the construction of roads networks, new housing communities, drainage network and other projects which are deemed as necessary for sustainable economic growth”.
Earlier, Sheikh Hamdan had received directives from President Sheikh Khalifa to conduct a study on the needs of the Northern Emirates in terms of infrastructure projects that could be funded by the Federal Government.
