The exciting show that would bring a visual treat to the city dwellers with its wide array of most modern model cars, has kick started at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14 November 2007. The top brands participating in the show are Aston Martin, BMW, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini, showcasing their wares on the opening day of the ninth Middle East International Motor Show in Dubai.
Catering to the finer taste and deeper pockets of the Middle East region, BMW will be among those vying for a share of the increasingly competitive luxury goods market, according to BMW's managing director, Phil Horton."The booming economic environment is driving a great swell of optimism which has pushed the premium car segment to grow even faster than the overall market."
Analysts see the Middle East car market as demanding innovative products with sophisticated edgings that still maintains a sense of practicality and efficiency. Seeking to capitalize on the lucrative market and the extensive exposure of the Middle East Motor Show, BMW revealed a range of six new models and concept cars, including the region's first introduction to the BMW Concept CS, BMW Concept X6 and the new BMW M3 Coupé.
The head turner of the group is undoubtedly the M3 Coupé, which boasts of a V8, 420hp engine and accelerates from 0-100 kilometres per hour in just 4.8 seconds.Ninety-six exhibitors expect their sleek designs and latest models to attract 85,000 motoring enthusiasts from around the region to the conference, which will run through till November 18.
