Dubai-based real estate builder unveils three new ventures worth Dh623m

Emirates properties, a Dubai-based real estate company is to build three new complexes worth Dh623 million, according to a company communiqué.The first project is the development of the ministries complex in Khalifa A district, which houses ministries and federal authorities and other agencies, at an estimate of Dh500 million.The project is scheduled to be completed in a year and a half, and is ‘now in the stage of consultation and design’, said Abdullah Khalifa Al Huraiz, general manager of the establishment.

The second venture is the Ministry of Health building at a cost of Dh70 million.The edifice will be constructed near the Etisalat Academy on Shaikh Zayed Road , and is slated for completion in 13 months. The third undertaking is the UAE embassy in Ottawa , Canada , at a cost of Dh53 million. Construction commenced in January. Between 2000 and 2005, the company has completed several projects in the UAE including the Ministry of Education, Dubai Educational Zone, the main building of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

It was also involved in projects outside the UAE including construction of the UAE embassy and the Ambassador's residence in Berlin, and the UAE consulate and a health attaché annex in Munich.The establishment has bought a number of overseas properties during the same period, such as the Ambassador's residence in Ottawa, Canada; site of the UAE permanent mission to the United Nations in New York; the UAE embassy site in Colombo, Sri Lanka; the Ambassadors’ residences in Colombo, Bahrain and New York, the Consulate and mission's residence in Pakistan; villas of the diplomatic mission in Japan; female students’ dormitory in Amman and Irbid in Jordan, and Cairo.
