The 7th edition of the Cityscape Dubai 2008, the largest annual business-to-business real estate investment and development event in the world, opened to great economic performance at Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) on Oct 6. This year, Cityscape has created new records with 40,000 visitors in the first two days, according to the organizers. During the property expo, real estate developers remain upbeat despite fears that the global economic downturn could hit the property sector in places such as the UAE. In a boost to the local property market, projects worth more than Dh500 billion have been announced in Dubai that take the value of projects to be developed in the emirate over the next 10 years to more than Dh1.3 trillion. |
