More than 80,000 units have already been registered through Dubai Land Department's new online application system. Called Oqood, the new system will enable effective implementation of Law No 13 of 2008 for regulating the interim real estate register in Dubai.
Investments into the real estate sector in Dubai have exceeded the AED 158 billion mark in 2008 according to a latest report. Recent studies have shown that the global market value of waterfront development projects is expected to cross USD 500 billion in the next five years, with Dubai being one of the most active players f Dubai's Palm Deira, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Jumeirah are expected to create a whole new range of business opportunities for both regional and international investors.
