Al Raha Beach

Al Raha Beach – The Ultimate Waterfront City

The scenic Al Raha Beach is built on 5.2 million square meters of seaside land on the main highway linking Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is the ‘Ultimate Waterfront City’ with world class residential, commercial, entertainment and public facilities for more than 120,000 residents.

The mixed-use Al Raha Beach community is in close proximity to the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, and a short 10-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Stretching for 11 km alongside the shores of Abu Dhabi, the zone has 11 precincts, each offering an exclusive waterfront lifestyle. Infrastructure has been designed to ease accessibility, combining several types of transport for transit requirements. The Beach has several inter-connected transit points that facilitate easy commutation to downtown Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

The Light Rail Transit (LRT) system provides quick mass transit throughout the development, along with the ‘jet cat’ catamaran and ferries between quaysides.

The 11 precincts at Al Raha Beach:

Al Zeina:
This zone is the strategic gateway to the Al Raha Beach development. It is composed of luxury housing – apartments, villas and townhouses, private boat moorings, retail high street with local supermarket, waterside restaurants and cafes, 500-meter public beach with landscaped gardens, shared gardens and open spaces.

Khor Al Raha:
The peaceful precinct of Khor Al Raha is home to 2 exclusive projects – ‘Al Muneera’ and ‘Al Khubeira’. ‘Al Muneera’ is a canalfront community with a mix of distinctively designed multi-storey apartment buildings. ‘Al Khubeira’ is an enclave of private residences linked by a tree-lined boulevard, delightful canal walkways and busy promenades.

Al Bandar: Across the bridge is ‘Al Bandar’, which comprises mainly public spaces like a market square with waterfalls, mini amphitheatre and ample underground parking for visitors.

Al Seef: This is a project offering a wide selection of contemporary apartments, family townhouses and prestigious villas that border a winding promenade bursting with energy and life. ‘Al Seef’ also encompasses a large resort island with direct beach access just off the coast. This is the sports hub of Al Raha Beach, with a multitude of outdoor water sport activities.

Al Dana Towers and Residences
: ‘Al Dana’ is a mixed-use project with business premises and residential quarters. From low-rise, waterfront villas and townhouses in shaded courtyards and piazzas, to apartments of one to four bedrooms, ‘Al Dana Residences’ is a sophisticated community complemented by a host of retailing and dining outlets.

Al Rumaila: Providing a Wharf-style ambience, ‘Al Rumaila’ has a clutch of residential ‘peninsulas’ that extend to the waters of the Gulf. The project is positioned around a series of private marinas and waterways that cater exclusively to its residents. ‘Al Rumaila’ is relatively traditional in its look with a 40-storey glass structured tower and a Maritime Gallery.

Al Nakhel: With distinctive waterscapes, public plazas and promenades, ‘Al Nakhel’ is quiet residential commune nurturing the mind and the body. Among the many beach residences here, you will also find an Eco Centre built to house rare plants, an aviary and a butterfly house. A notable asset of ‘Al Nakhel’ is its series of gardens housing rare medicinal and perfumed herbs.

Al Lissaily: This is a uniquely considered precinct that encapsulates the water features of Al Raha Beach to create an enticing series of heritage waterside homes. The villas at ‘Al Lissaily’ are built in the traditional Arabic majlis style with colonnades, arcades and galleries around a central courtyard, but freshened with a clean contemporary touch and an uncompromisingly luxurious finish.

Al Shaleela:
This is the cultural precinct that is built around a theatre with additional performance spaces, galleries and art studios. It hosts cinema and film production facilities, film education facilities, a virtual media development center and a media museum. There are apartment buildings rising to 45 storeys, and 2 to 3-storey waterfront commercial developments, local cafés and restaurants

Al Razeen:
The project is located on the site of an existing theatre that is its prime inspiration. Designed for those of a creative bend of mind, the homes are built around a central marina comprising 8 - 14 storey waterfront apartment towers with stunning panoramic views. Amenities include local cafés and restaurants, recreation clubs and swimming pools. The private islands off the coastline also have exclusive mooring and beach facilities for residents.

Al Thurayya:
This is the final and 11th precinct at the seaward end of Al Raha Beach. ‘Al Thurayya’ has waterfront apartments, shops and villas set back from a marina. As the western transport hub for water taxis and ferries, this district is the focus of marine activity, incorporating a major boat-servicing area with dry dock facility.
