The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) - the central co-coordinating body leading development and promoting opportunity in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi - has officially handed over the land required for the development of two new hotel properties in Madinat Zayed and Al Gharbia. These developments will not only facilitate local economic growth but also provide local residents with new employment opportunities and local recreational facilities. The hotels will provide an ideal platform and provide the perfect exposure required to attract more investments into the region.
HE Mohamed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, DG, WRDC, said, "I would also like to thank our government partners; the Western Region Municipality and the Urban Planning Council, who helped facilitated the realization of these projects".
The first hotel property is being developed by Saeed Khalfan Al Mazrouei, a local investor from the region and will be situated in Madinat Zayed. It will feature private chalets, restaurant, coffee shop, business centre, health club, conference hall, swimming pool and a number of retail and commercial shops. The second hotel will be situated in the south of Madinat Zayed and will be owned by Al Dhafra Co-op Society, which was formed to serve the local communities in Al Gharbia.
