Six Senses Zighy Bay Resort, Musandam Peninsula, Oman |
Six Senses Hotels & Resorts, a resort & spa management and development company with properties in 6 countries, is planning to develop a 44-villa destination spa - the first in the Middle East - close to its Zighy Bay Resort on the Musandam Peninsula in Oman. The destination spa would be developed on a plateau above Sense on the Edge, the Hideway's fine-dining restaurant located within the mountains that surround the resort.
Plans for the Zighy Bay destination spa, which would be the company's second worldwide following the launch of the concept in Thailand, last summer, are in the very early stages.
Six Senses was looking to develop destination spa properties along the equator in locations such as Portugal, Morocco and Brazil. There were would also be expansion at the Hideaway resort itself, with plans for 2 more villas and an observatory tower similar to the one at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives.
