Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the firm that manages the development of real estate assets held by the government of Abu Dhabi and granted to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), has awarded the water production and irrigation contract for the Gary Player golf course on Saadiyat Island to Septech, UAE-based region's leading innovative water infrastructure and engineering specialists.
David Heffernan, CEO, Septech, said, "Septech was awarded the contract based on the company's reputation for providing innovative and sustainable water solutions for regional golf course developers, as the construction of golf courses in arid desert environments bears unique challenges not seen anywhere else in the world".
Septech, in conjunction with its world-class partner GE Water and Process Technologies, is to provide a dedicated desalination plant for the ongoing construction of the golf course.
