The close ties between the UAE and France will be celebrated with the launch of the Saison Francaise (French Season) in Abu Dhabi from May 3, 2009. The month-long festival features a mix of showcase performances and interactive events including a concert by a renowned French opera singer, an haute couture fashion show, painting and photography exhibitions and business seminars focused on international finance, aviation, space research and maritime security.
HE Alain Azouaou, French ambassador in UAE, said, ""We have organized the French Season to connect our Emirati friends, who have very high expectations of France, and the people of France, who are also keen to know more about the UAE. We are confident this festival will reflect the strength, diversity and dynamism of the relations between the two nations."
Saison Francaise will incorporate French animation films, painting and photography exhibitions, exclusive fashion show and concert by Tenor Roberto Alagna. The French Season in Abu Dhabi is organized by the French Embassy in UAE and the French Business Group, Abu Dhabi.
