Real estate boom in Dubai creates business for garden and landscaping

Following an unprecedented boom in the real estate and construction industry worth over Dh 3.6 trillion, the GCC states has created massive demand for landscaping design, garden equipments and outdoor living products. the Garden and Landscaping Middle East, organized by Epoc Messe Frankfurt, is scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 25 to 27 2008.

Eckhard Pruy, CEO, Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said, "According to recent statistics, up to 5 million residential units are under construction in the GCC, including more than 1,400 new high-profile developments collectively valued at over Dh.2.5 trillion".

The housing upsurge will fuel a secondary boom for the garden and landscaping sectors, as these real estate developments will require hundreds of sq km of landscaping. The realty development such as The Palm Islands, The World and Dubailand will require vast amounts of landscaping along with new golf courses and park facilities.
