In a bid to end woes associated with the Emirates ID card registration, Gowealthy.com, the Dubai-based global property and lifestyle brand offering comprehensive marketing solutions, has teamed up with EIDA to offer free-downloadable software for 'pre-application registration' pertaining to Emirates national identity cards.
Registration is currently open for UAE nationals, GCC citizens working or residing in the UAE, expatriate government staff and professionals (anyone with a degree) in the private sector. EIDA has announced a deadline of December 31st 2008 for all of the above categories.
The law stipulates that national identity cards will be the only valid identification document for Emiratis for any official transactions from January 1, 2009.
