Present liquidity crunch presents innumerable prospects for private equity and venture capital firms in the Mena region especially so in the UAE, according to industry experts. They were unanimous that private equity and venture capitalists were on the verge of a major expansion owing to some well-organised but cash-strapped firms across the region.
The comments came during workshop entitled ‘Private Equity in the MENA Region'. The Event was organised by the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA) as part of an on-going effort to generate debate and discussion on issues of major consequence to the regional financial world. It was a well attended event with active participation from officials of UAE's leading firms.
