This dive site is for experienced divers, especially the deeper part that leads to 160 feet / 48 m. Here you might see, Southern Stingrays sunbathing in the sand, Nurse Sharks and occasionally big Turtles. Here you have to be able to deal with surf entries and strong currents
Playa Benge
The two main features of this site are the deep ledges at the end of the reef slope, and the spure and grove formations in the shallow water. You might even find a sleeping Nurse Shark in the shallow water. There is also a small cavern where you may swim through. The entrance is sometimes real difficult due to the high surf, so be careful with the strong current that runs often to the north. The site is often closed after rain. This dive is just for experienced divers.
Playa Funchi
The drop off in this dive starts at 30 feet / 10 m and ends at 120 feet / 36 m. The reef slope is full of sponges and soft corals. On land you will find some Iguanas and a lot of lizards that like some food.
Boca Slagbaai
At Slagbaai you have the choice between the north and the south route. Both of them require quiet a bit of snorkelling. At the south route you may find two real cannons in just 6 feet / 3 m of water and fake cannons to the north route. There is also a snack barat Slagbaai where you may get some drinks.
Karpata
The entry to the site is not always that easy due to the surf. The ropes, floats and tiles placed on the reef are part of a scientific experiment and are to be left untouched. Karpata has a real steep slope to more than 140 feet / 42 m. South of the mooring at 35 feet / 11 m, is a large old anchor, and a few others can be found in the same area. On one at about 60 feet / 18 m you will find a small cavern with Southern Stingrays in it.
OL' Blue
This is a popular shore dive of which access is fairly easy. The drop off starts at 25 feet / 7 m and is quite close to shore. The nicest part is above 50 feet / 15 m, but it is possible to go much deeper. Fish are plentiful but mostly small and Barracudas are seen chasing the smaller fishes.
Nukove
This dive site has a small, tiny beach. You have to swim out at the small pier, which is the only exit and entry point. In the shallow there are big Elkhorn Corals and the reef slope is quite a bit away. The drop off starts at 30 feet / 10 m and goes down deeper then 140 feet / 42 m. It is a beautiful dive and after it you may relax at the small beach to enjoy the sunset.
