Watersports in Cuba

 Cuba unfolds a host of exciting opportunities for watersports enthusiasts. Rafting, water-skiing or cruising are some options for those interested in taking on the waves in Cuba. 
 
1. Sailing

For those of you who love rafting Cuba offer an awesome experience. White water rafting is available on the river "Río de Aguas Blancas" and is one of the most exciting adventures for the tourists nowadays. 

The deepest river in Cuba is the Toa near Guantanamo where white water rapids are intense in areas providing an excellent transition to the quieter waters. Guides are available as is accommodation in the area.

2. Surfing & Water-Skiing

Water skiing is available in almost all coastal resorts and tourist area. You can find water skiing easily in Santa María at Havana, Varadero at Matanzas, Guardalavaca at Holguín, and Santa Lucía at Camagüey. The price varies in accordance to the area where the service is provided which might be around 30 USD per half an hour.

3. Cruises

There are cruises offered by various operators to explore the pristine waters off the Cuban coast.

Sundream: It offers biweekly Caribbean cruises from Montego Bay that includes a day in Havana and a day in Santiago de Cuba in addition to Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Valtur Prima: It offers one week Caribbean cruises departing every Friday from Montego Bay with stops in Grand Cayman, Isle of Youth, Calica (Cancun) and Havana.

Riviera Holiday: It has three and four day cruises from Cancun to Havana and back to Cancun aboard the luxurious Riviera.

Joyride: It also has three and four day cruises from Puerto Plata to Santiago de Cuba.
