Water Tours of the Turks and Caicos Islands

The pristine blue waters of the Caribbean surround the island chain of the Turks and Caicos, providing attractions both on the shore and below it. From sailing to cruising and submarine tours, there is a lot to see and do on the water.

Sailing
Sailing charters are available alongside regular sail trips. Charters are available to explore uninhabited islands, sunset and dinner cuisse, Sunday brunch, snorkeling on the reef and seeing Iguana Island. Sailing boats include monohull, catamaran and trihull vessels as well as powerboats.

Beach Cruise & BBQ
Cruising along uninhabited cays, snorkeling for sand dollars and collecting shells from white sand beaches are all included in the beach cruises offered by the many tour operators on the islands. The cruise includes a stop at a secluded beach where the captain prepares a BBQ of fresh fish catch or lobster served with a variety of island food and beverages.

Semi-submarine Undersea Explorer
This tour starts at the picturesque Turtle Cove Marine in Providenciales and water comes alive with a variety of different tropical fish and spectacular coral formations. Sting rays, sharks and Jo-Jo the dolphin can be viewed from inside the glass-bottomed boat, with the lower observatory 5 feet below the waves.

Humpback Whale Watching
The North Atlantic Humpback Whales are seen around Grand Turk and Salt Cay islands, with their annual migration taking place in the passage between Grand Turk and the Caicos Islands from late January to early April. Salt Cay Tours is one of the handfuls of operators that take visitors on half-day whale watching tours. The tour includes educational facts on the animals, as well as diving sites to hear the songs of the whales. To book a tour, call +649 946-6904 or visit

Glow Worms Adventure
After the full moon, for one night only, the Provos’ waters come alive with glow worms. These marine creatures sparkle during their mating ritual and light up the sky like stars. Tour operators offer a gentle cruise on the waters to watch this amazing event under the stars.
