Fijian waters offer plenty of water sports options from Canoeing, Kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, wind surfing, water skiing, water scooters, game fishing and jet skiing. |
Visitors can go for canoeing and kayaking in private lagoons or go for sailing in a chartered yacht. Rainbow varieties of coral are famous in Fiji and some of the best spots can be seen by snorkeling over shallow reefs close to the shore. Hotels, resorts and over 40 dive operators provide PADI scuba training and certification programs. Fiji offers excellent diving opportunities from soft coral exploration to wall dives and from wreck dives to cave dives.
Surfing can be a breath taking adventure in the isolated surf spots like Frigate pass and Kadavu. The south east trade winds keep the surfing board moving along the entire coral coast. For the beginners surfing lessons are available. The temperature is approximately 26- 30 C good for warm diving.
Jet skiing is organized by tour operators. The duration is for 4 hrs covering 60km waterways of Beqa lagoon in the Pacific Harbor. Children under 10 years are allowed for jet skiing under the supervision of their parents.
Competitive packages are available and most tour operators accept cash vouchers, credit cards and travelers’ cheques.
Fiji kayaking expedition

Game Fishing in Fiji
Fishing is favored throughout the year here. All methods of game fishing are available along with overnight charter for a whole family.
The most important species in the Fijian waters are black marlin, blue marlin, stripped marlin, sailfish, Wahoo, dolphin fish, Tanguige, barracuda, Giant Trevally, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dog Tooth Tuna, Skipjack tuna and big eye tuna.
