Come summer, Liechtenstein is abuzz with activities that cater to people from all walks of life. The activities range from sports to entertainment in the various parts of the country.

Open-air Wavejam
The Open-air Wavejam held annually in Balzers, is a platform for new bands and music groups from Liechtenstein and nearby countries to show off their skills. In addition to the new groups, famous bands also perform.
LGT Alpine Marathon, Liechtenstein
The exceptional mountain scenery in the village of Bendern makes this event a truly memorable experience. Owing to the challenging topography, the LGT Marathon is considered by many to be even more challenging than the more famous Jungfrau Marathon. The event covers a distance of 42 kilometres and 1800 metres/5900 feet in altitude.
Tour de Suisse
The finishing line of this extremely exciting cycling race passes through the village of Malben – Steg. The bikers resume their race the following day in the capital, Vaduz.
Liechtenstein Guitar Days (LiGiTa)
This musical extravaganza is devoted to passionate lovers of guitar music. Every year in the month of July, the Liechtenstein Guitar Days are held in the Liechtenstein Lower country. The event is the quintessential cultural razzmatazz with dances, concerts and workshops on artists, all combining to make a memorable vacation experience.
Fiesta Latina
A variation of open-air concerts, Fiesta Latina brings to the typical European Vaduz, the warm hues and flavours of the Latin world.
Lower Country Vintage Festival
A quaint summer festival promoting local and international wines, this festival is conducted in the municipality of Schellenberg in Liechtenstein. The event features a festival restaurant serving vintner’s sausage and cheese, Bougertschnitzel; childcare is available in the children’s tent. The vintage celebrations culminate in the crowning of the second Wine Queen.
International Masters’ Courses
This is a highly revered musical festival and the list of the Masters’ Course speaks volumes for the enormous respect it evokes in the music world. More than 3,000 musicians from 48 nations have taken part in this renowned event to date – an event that gives participants access to workshops and allows musicians to hold concerts with international leading lights in the field of music. This event takes place every year in July for three weeks.
