Scuba diving in Grenada

The spectacular underwater scenery off the coasts of Grenada & Carriacou is a source of fun and excitement to divers of all skill levels. Grenada also boasts of amongst the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean and an underwater volcano.  


Dive instructors on the island help you discover the marine attractions that these waters have to offer. Grenada has several good locations that prove ideal for snorkelling and diving.

Many of these are also the unexplored and undeveloped dive sites of the Caribbean. Grenada has at least 20 dive sites including, reefs, wrecks and walls.

These sites vary from 20 feet or 8 meters to 120 feet or 40 meters in depth, with the visibility ranging from 30 feet too 100 feet. A long offshore reef off the west coast of the island is marked by the 600-foot wreck of the Bianca, a cruiseliner that sank here in 1961. Most of the diving facilities in Grenada are located in the southern part of the island, and most dives sites are within 15 minutes of the Grand Anse Beach. Carriacou, the island off the coast of Grenada, however, is the focal point of all diving activity here with its pristine reefs. This island is accessible by boat and air, and also offers a number of accommodations.
