Horseback riding in Bermuda

In Bermuda you can just walk out to the stables and saddle up your trusty steed, then hit the trail for some pleasant horse riding.

The trail winds over coral bluffs in South Shore Park, and along the beautiful northern coast. Due to concerns about the fragile ecosystem, Bermuda has strict regulations regarding horseback riding, particularly on public beaches, so visitors may only rent horses for supervised trail rides.

Bermuda has riding centers where you can hire a horse for a pleasant ride.

Spicelands Riding Centre. This is the largest riding facility on the Island, which operates the famous 1.5-hour South Shore breakfast ride, departing at 6:45 am. During Bermuda’s off-season, December 1 through March 31, you can ride along the beach. Leisurely one-hour treks and evening rides from May to October, are also offered by the center. The rides are priced at around $50.
