1: Havana Golf Club
Often called the "DiploClub" located in Boyeros, Havana Golf Club is just 5-minute drive from Havana's city centre. It is an 18-hole course set in a miniature forest with natural streams although this course offers many challenges.
Whether you play golf or not it is a great place to spend a beautiful day. Beyond the Club you will find a swimming pool, bowling alley, two bars, supermarket and one very good restaurant which over views over the course. 2: El Varadero Golf Club
This 28 hole golf course is spread across 6269 metres with 72 pars and 4 sets of tees. The longest hole is 537 m while the shortest is 164 m. The first four holes are just a tease for the fifth, which starts the more difficult and complex holes with salt water ponds and well-protected greens. Opened in 1998. There are more than 70 bunkers and many doglegs on this narrow course set between the seas. Hole 18 consists of 3 Isles, 5 par 3s, 8 par 5s, 5 par 5s, Automatic water system and Bermuda grass.
Rental of clubs and balls available. Cart rental is mandatory and is available for $10 USD. Green fees (2000) $60 US. There is special fees for clients of Sol Meliá, Meliá Varadero and Meliá Las Americas. it was originally known as Xanadu, then Dupont Mansion and later, Las Américas. The layout was built by the past owner of Xanadu (now the clubhouse) Irénee Dupont de Nemours.
