Snorkelling is also the most popular form of diving in the Cook Islands, specially for those without the time or interest to learn scuba.
Scuba beginners can choose three-hour dives to introduce them to the sport. The Cost for a four-day training course for beginners is about US$230 at Rarotonga and Aitutaki, and students can select different types of certification. All the dive companies have equipment for hire.
