Scuba-Diving in Panama

Bocas Del Toro: Scuba diving in the waters here is a truly exciting experience. The extraordinary submarine beauty of the North and South Zapatilla Keys in the province of Bocas del Toro and around the waters of Punta Vieja, Punta Hospital, Donato, Crawl Cay, Stern Island, Tiger Cay, Wild cane cay and Aqua Oeste Cay are truly astonishing. San Blas Archipelago:Scuba diving and snorkeling are the main activities in the San Blas Archipelago. The islands are famous for the coralline origin and its crystalline waters. The cabins are equipped with bed and bunks, shower and indoor bathrooms.

The Islands of Contadora and Taboga: The Islands of Contadora and Taboga in the Archipelago of las Perlas or the Pearl Archipelago are the diving sites nearest to Panama City. These Islands have facilities for the full-featured sport of scuba diving with or without a tank.  Here, you will dive in schools of fish, in the mysterious waters of mantas, groupers, snappers and jacks. In the Wild Life Refuge of Iguana Island there are very well preserved coral reefs that can easily be observed at shallow depths, an excellent and calm site to dive.

Diving in the Panama Canal: The waters next to the Panama Canal are unique diving destinations. By diving into the Panama Canal, You will dive into history. You may also dive a train left behind during the early attempts to build the canal! While diving, one can see at the depths the remains of the first trans-isthmian railroad. The train rests in 52 feet of calm fresh water. The churning of the water by ship’s blades is heard while diving here. Diving the Two oceans and Panama Canal in one day appears in the Guinness Book of world records. This is a task oriented dive that is going for the achievement.
