Takamoa Theological College
The Theological College retains the architectural style of the CICC churches found on the islands and was built during the missionary days.

Black Rock
These rocks adorn a part of Nikao beach and according to native beliefs, it was the departing point of souls. It is believed that when a person died, their soul would jump off black rock and make their way back to Avaiki, the homeland.

Seven Canoes
The Polynesians who settled New Zealand in the 900-1000AD, departed from Avana harbour and left behind seven stones to commemorate their stopover. They originally came from the islands that are presently a part of French Polynesia.

Caves
There are several caves on Rarotonga. The in Matavera is visible from the backroad and was a burial ground. It contains twelve skeletons. The cave of Katikatia, a witch who ate little children, is also located in the town area.
