1: Le Jardin Botanique De Balata The Balata Botanical Gardens are set in the elevated Fort-de-France at the foot of the peaks of the Pitons du Carbet amidst magnificent surroundings. Jean Philippe Thoze has created this beautiful ambiance in nearly twenty years. The park has an awesome and exotic collection of more than a thousand species of local flora like the wide variety of colibri.

A creole mansion with period furniture and engravings capturing the spirit of the colonial days is also enclosed within this luxuriant greenery. The Botanical Gardens offer a pleasant and relaxing stroll through this spectacular attraction. Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ticket sales stop at 4 p.m.

2: Parc Des Floralies
Floralies de la Martinique is an event held every five years as a part of the international horticultural curriculum. This park was created in 1979 by the International Flower Show Committee of Martinique and the Regional Nature Park to host this event. This beautiful six-acre park is used as a venue for these shows and between shows is used for a number of cultural events and local flower shows. Open Monday, Tuesday from 8.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m; Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m.

2: Sentier Botanique Et Floral
Located near the town of Ajoupa-Bouillon in the north of the island, this area is a scenic wonder set in a natural valley with streams and rivlets. This botanical and floral path meanders through this valley blessed with great fig trees, coral-red flowers, tree ferns and many other multicolored shrubs. You can also delight in the springs and cascading streams that create a peaceful environ. Les Ombrages is a beautiful, secluded spot with an impressive variety of natural and cultivated plants and flowers.
