The island has 37 clean, white sand beaches along the crystal clear azure waters. There are some tiny beaches nestled between the rocky cliffs while some that stretch endlessly along the lovely waters. Each has its own distinct atmosphere and these beaches range from high waves beaches ideal for surfers to calm ones for the small kids, from lively, busy beaches to deserted and secluded beaches ideal for the honeymooners.
Cupecoy Beach
This white powdery sand beach is set against impressive cliffs and small caves and offers you the unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing experience in a cave that you can have all to yourself. The beach has crystal clear waters with medium to strong wave action. There are no restaurants or bars on this beach, however you might see local vendors roam the beach. On the far end of this beach clothing is optional.
Baie Rouge
This charming beach proffers a taste of neighboring English island Anguilla. This great stretch of almost deserted beach is excellent for enjoying a seaside leisurely promenade. The local shack offers refreshments and also has lounge chairs available for rent. Snorkeling gear is also available and while diving, you can explore an underwater cave along the shore line. There is also a very private and isolated beach here.
Orient Bay
This beach is among the more popular and busy beaches. Clothing is optional on this beach, mostly in front of the naturist resort Club Orient at the end of the beach. A local hangout, centrally located on the beach, has the restaurants and live bands playing great music. You can enjoy a sumptuous local lobster here and also learn to dance the merengue. Facilities to rent a jetski are available and you can enjoy parasailing or participate in a local hobie cat race here. Snorkeling equipment is also available at a couple of places.
