World's first shopping resort, Mall of the Emirates, celebrated the grand opening of its newly added luxury wing, the Fashion Dome, with a gala event held at its premises.

A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held with the CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Peter Walichnowski; Senior Vice President, Asset Management, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Shahram Shamsaee; and Fuad Sharaf, Vice President, Mall of the Emirates officially opening the Fashion Dome. The event, which was attended by over 500 guests, included a silent auction with proceeds going to Make a Wish Foundation, a traditional performance by Tribes, that made its first debut in the UAE at the Fashion Dome and live performances by artists playing string trio, cello and the harp. Signature canapés and beverages were also served at the seven new restaurants in the Fashion Dome. |
Mall of the Emirates' Fashion Dome was opened to the public on September 1st this year. The Fashion Dome adds an impressive list of 42 high profile brands to the mall's existing 477 retailers.
A one stop destination for the fashionistas of the region, the Fashion Dome offers high fashion names such as Christian Louboutin, Cartier, Canali, Galliano, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Mulberry, Diane von Furstenberg and the largest D&G boutique in the region. Existing premium retailers such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Gucci have expanded to bigger premises within the new Fashion Dome.
The Fashion Dome which is located in the south area of the mall enjoys the same architectural characteristics as the existing mall and is home to the mall's second magnificent glass dome.
