Pelican Village

Pelican village is an attractive and spacious shopping village offering the best of handicrafts. The village also provides an opportunity to see the Barbados’ craftsmen at work. This is the first stop for cruise visitors as they disembark at the harbor. Pelican Village on the outskirts of Bridgetown is the place to get local handicrafts including straw bags, wall hangings, batik, paintings, rum cakes, and much more!

The village is named after Pelican Island, which existed off Barbados before being incorporated into the deep water harbor. The village offers amenities such as restrooms and pay phones. The village has ample parking and is within easy reach of the west and south coasts
