Hotels in Bermuda are all of a high standard, offering a range of facilities including shops, restaurants, organised entertainment, beauty salon and taxi rank.  Elbow Beach.  294 rooms, 1060 guests.  It first opened in 1912 as the South Shore Hotel. 10 minutes by taxi from the city. It is a luxury four-star/diamond resort hotel - one of the Leading Hotels of the World - and Bermudian cottage colony, combined.  It is on 50 lush acres of its own botanical gardens. It offers either the atmosphere of a full-service hotel or a selection of garden cottages. It is now managed by Mandarin International Hotels, which bought the Raphael management organization and manages other hotels in Hawaii, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London and Macau. It is near the 7 bus route.

It is owned by Prince Khalid Bin Sultan, a prominent member of the Saudi Arabian royal family who abhors gambling, one of the major reasons why gambling casinos are not allowed in Bermuda. It has spent 100 million in enhancing its facilities and will be adding a new ballroom. guest rooms and spa by 2001. Fairmont Hamilton Princess. 413 rooms, 1000 guests. This is a historic hotel. It was first built in the 1880s and named in honor of Princess Louise, daughter of Queen Victoria. She was a frequent visitor, to escape the cold of Canada where her husband was the Governor General. The hotel overlooks picturesque Hamilton Harbor, has extensive uninterrupted views of it, with nice gardens of its own. It is an eight minute walk from the City of Hamilton and the ferry terminal. It is not served by buses. During World War 2, it was the headquarters of the British censors examining mails between the USA and Europe.

It is owned by Canadian Pacific, with other fine hotels in Canada. It offers European elegance with a Bermudian atmosphere. It got the Bermuda Government's Tourism Angel Fish Merit Award in July 2000. There will be major renovations in early 2001. Having excellent packages. Fairmont Southampton Princess. Near the 7 and 8 bus routes.  It is on the second highest point of Bermuda.  It is a 100-acre estate facing the South Shore ocean and Great Sound on the north side. It has lovely gardens and its own challenging, executive golf course. It has sophisticated and flexible meeting facilities, a variety of restaurants and services.

Bermuda's youngest big hotel, it was built in 1972 from scratch by its first owner, the American multi-millionaire Daniel Ludwig. It has gone through several owners since and is now owned by Canadian Pacific, with other fine hotels in Canada. It got the Bermuda Government's Tourism Angel Fish Merit Award in July 2000.
