Ajman, the small wonder of UAE

UAE is formed with the amalgamation of seven federations - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ras al Khaymah, and Umm Al Quwain. Ajman is the smallest of all the other states, at the crossroads of other emirates. Ajman is well located on the center of the UAE and is in short distance from Sharjah and Dubai. The total area of Ajman is 260 square kilometers covering the surrounding places and the coastline extends 36 kms. Ajman has a creek and the city grew up on the land obtruding amid the Gulf and the creek.

Ajman is located on the northern UAE along the Persian Gulf. Ajman has three different kind of geographical locations much diverse from each other - Ajman the city, Musfoot, and Al-Manama. Ajman's capital is also called by the same name. It is a rich city, with the coast and adjoining Dubai primarily contributing to its development. Geographically, the extensive agricultural scope, mountains, valleys and Persian Gulf has added to its major advantage. The Musfoot area falls on the southeast of Ajman. The region has rocky mountain terrain but fertile soil. It is a haven for the tourist for the topography and climate that it offers. Al-Manama is on the east of Ajman city, a land of mountain and deserts. Al-Manama is rich in agriculture due to fertile soil, magnesium ore and chrome.

Almost 95% population of the emirate of Ajman lives in the city of Ajman. The current population of Ajman is 360,000. There has been huge influx into Ajman from the neighboring states like Dubai and Sharjah and other countries. This has led to rapid industrial development in Ajman, bringing it to third rank in the emirates.
The meteorological climate of Ajman is moderate, with hot summers and pleasant winters.  There is relative difference in temperature in Ajman the city, Musfoot, and Al-Manama. Varied topography and distance from the Gulf has contributed for the divergence.

Ajman - The jewel box of the UAE

It was not only Dubai's real estate that was in focus in the 2000. Being in close proximity to Dubai, Ajman also stood tall and successful in offering property ownership. It is the only emirate offering 100% freehold ownership to foreigners as well. This has lured in investors from across the country and also globally to invest in magnanimous projects. The year 2007 took Ajman to new heights with many huge real estate projects launched, giving a boost to Ajman economy. For the middle class investors from Northern Emirates, Ajman has become the choicest destination.  Ajman has the third largest property market in the UAE.

The Dubai Metro system is being extended to Ajman, making commuting all the more convenient. Ajman International Airport is the fourth largest International Airport of UAE. A chief extension of the Ajman International Airport is expected to open in 2011 for the interest of commercial purpose and tourist.

Colossal city projects, a medical hospital and teaching center, a striking international airport and mushrooming tourist trade, makes Ajman one of the most significant of the emirates.
