Getting to Jamaica

The best way to travel to Jamaica is by air, which is also the fastest mode. One can get into Jamaica through its two international airports, Norman Manley and Montego Bay International Airports.

The Norman Manley International Airport is at a distance of 17 km from Kingston while Montego Bay International Airport is 3 km north of the city.There are also many small airports within the island.

Airports have facilities, which include banks, which are open until the last flight, restaurants, bars, duty free facilities and car hire. Coach, bus and taxis are available to the city, which makes around 30 to 60 minutes travel. Hertz, Budget and Avis cars are available for hire. Shuttle services between the airports are available through Air Jamaica Express.

Jamaica’s national airline is Air Jamaica connecting the island with USA, Canada and England. Other airlines serving Jamaica include American Airlines, Air Canada, American Trans Air, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Martinair, Northwest Airlines and US Airways.
