Flight Information
It takes 14 hours flight from Europe and 2 hours from Kenya or La Réunion to get to Madagascar.
Air Madagascar, Madagascar's national airline runs regular flights from Paris, Zurich, Nairobi, Johannesburg or La Réunion.
There are no direct flights from North America or Australasia, and you have to come to Europe, Mauritius or South Africa and change there.
Air France operates direct flights from Paris, Marseille, Jidda, Djibouti or La Réunion.
You can even catch an Air Mauritius flight from London, Rome, Nairobi or Mauritius, Aeroflot from Moscow, and Air Kenya from Nairobi.
Also there are regular flights from Madagascar to Réunion, Mauritius, Kenya, Tanzania, the Comoro Islands, the Seychelles and Zimbabwe.
The international airport is at Antananarivo, which is around 17km from the city. Airport facilities include restaurant and bureau de change, regular bus and taxi services.
There are airports also at Nossi Bé, Mahajanga, Toamasina, and Arivonimamo that is 45km (28 miles) from the capital.
