Getting Around the inter-islands of the British Virgin Islands is an exciting and merry experience. A must try once is inter-island aviation charter flights. By boat
A great way to see the islands is by boat. Sailboats and motorboats can be rented or chartered with a crew from any major harbor. Island-hopping is a favorite activity of vacationers and locals, and ferries and charter boats are an ideal way to see it all
Road Town, on Tortola, is one of the principal centres for bare boating (self-hire yacht chartering) in the Caribbean.
By car
Cars can be rented on the larger islands such as Virgin Gorda and Tortola, Both internationally known major companies and local rental agencies are available on the islands, and the rates are usually competitive. Daily rates should fall somewhere between $50(USD) and $80(USD), and weekly rates will range from $300(USD) to $500(USD), respectively. Throughout the islands, drivers stay to the left side of the road, and speed limits are relatively low.
Buses
Buses are another option that many vacationers are drawn to because they are so inexpensive. Fares on all the islands hover around $1(USD) the buses that operate in the British Virgin Islands, however, are open-air, safari-style buses that are notorious for neglecting a regular schedule or route. They are affordable and exciting but should be considered an amusing diversion, not a primary mode of transportation to be relied upon.
Two-wheeler
Active travelers may feel the need to explore the picturesque islands on their own, and bicycle and moped rentals are widely available. Generally a bike can be rented for a daily rate of about $35(USD).
