All the tourists entering Guadeloupe require a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond his last day of stay. The nationals of Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, who hold their national identity cards, do not require any passport.
Visa required
Visa is required the citizens of all the countries except the following:

Types of visa
All visas, regardless of duration of stay and number of entries permitted. In most circumstances, no fee is applied to students, recipients of government fellowships and citizens of the EU and their family members.
Validity of visa
Short-stay visa (up to 30 days) is valid for 2 months (single- and multiple-entry). Short stay visa (31 to 90 days and double- or multiple-entry) is valid for a maximum of 6 months from date of issue. Transit visa is valid for single or multiple-entries of maximum 5 days per entry, including the day of arrival.
Application requirements:
(a) Valid passport with blank page to affix the visa
(b) Minors traveling alone must submit notarized parental authorization signed by both parents, plus one copy
(c) Up to two completed application forms
(d) One passport-size photo on each form
(e) Fee to be paid in cash, only if, paid by person itself. If not, fee should be paid by cheque or postal order
(f) Evidence of sufficient funds for stay (bank statements of last two months with copy, or other proof of funds equivalent to US$100 for each day of trip
(g) Letter from employer or proof of stay in country of residence
(h) Proof of address
(i) Medical insurance
(j) Proof of accommodation during stay
(k) Registered self-addressed envelope, if applying by post
(l) Detailed itinerary, including reservations and return airline tickets and travel documents for remaining journey (only required when visa is issued), plus one copy
(m) Proof of employment (Last pay slip or letter from employer)
(n) Proof of valid health/travel insurance with worldwide coverage, plus copy
(O) For business visa, business invitation guaranteeing payment of travel expenses, plus one copy with all the above-mentioned documents
Working days required
The time required for visa stamping can range from one day up to 3 weeks depending on the nationality. If intending to work or stay for longer than 90 days, nationals should contact the Long Stay visa section of the Consulate General or Embassy.
Note
(a) Nationals of the EU and EEE, and of the Holy See, Liechtenstein and Monaco does not need a Long Stay visa (trips exceeding 3 months)
(b) Nationals of Canada, Cyprus, Japan, Korea (Rep), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Singapore, USA and Venezuela should apply for a visa if they are to receive a salary, even if their trip is a Short Stay
