Restaurants in Rodney Bay- St. Lucia

Besides the native Creole cuisine, pizza joints and cafes, savour Oriental and even Indian food in the many restaurants in Rodney Bay- St.Lucia. From Creole, American to International cuisine St. Lucia offers all the flavours for every taste bud. Here is list of some of the best restaurants in town;

1: Burger Park and The Bistro
Burger Park 11am-10pm, closed Thurs; The Bistro 5-10pm, closed Thurs. Inexpensive-moderate. A rather anomalous combination of burger joint, alfresco restaurant, playground and miniature golf course that makes a good bet for families - the half-pound burgers, fish and chips, foot-long hot dogs and onion rings are good, cheap and greasy. On the waterfront and open for dinner only, The Bistro is more upscale, with steak-and-kidney pies, grilled duck breast and snapper in potato crust. No credit cards at Burger Park.

2: Capone's
Dining room Tues-Sun 6.30-11pm, La Piazza Tues-Sun 11am-midnight. Moderate-expensive. One of the string of restaurants in Rodney Bay's eating epicentre, serving somewhat overrated and mundane Italian dinners in a gangster-inspired ambience - drinks include a good-sized Mafia Mai Tai. The small La Piazza pizzeria next door serves lunch, mostly pizzas and salads.
Tel: 4520284

3: Charthouse
Mon-Sat 5-11pm. Expensive. Steaks and ribs are the specialities, and as they're cooked better here than anywhere on the island, reservations are necessary. The dark-wood, marina-side restaurant (reserve seats on the waterside deck) also serves seafood and Creole dishes. Top it off with a Cuban cigar, on sale at the restaurant.

4: La Creole
Daily 11.30am-10pm. Moderate-expensive. Commanding an excellent position on the marina and specializing, unsurprisingly, in Creole dishes with the emphasis on seafood. You can even pick your lobster from the restaurant aquarium if you've got the nerve. For dessert, try the homemade peanut ice cream. There's dancing every evening and occasional live music.

5: Eagles Inn
Daily: lunch & dinner. Moderate. A good lunch spot at the far end of the Reduit Beach Road, up against the Rodney Bay marina channel, specializing in grilled and barbecued seafood, chicken and ribs etc. The waterside setting is appealing, and you're just across the street from the beach.

6: Key Largo
Daily 9am-11pm. Moderate.  Casual pizza place on the east side of the Castries-Gros Islet Highway, across from the marina, serving the best pizza on the island, freshly cooked in a wood-fired brick oven.

7: The Lime
Lunch & dinner, closed Tues. Moderate. "Liming" is West Indian slang for "hanging out", and this is one of Rodney Bay's more popular spots to do just that. The eclectic menu is a mix of steaks and seafood, you can sit inside or alfresco on the patio next to the road, and the guitar player will sing you through dinner and drinks.
