April marks the start of the culinary calendar when islanders indulge their passion for eating in The Experience; the islands’ spring restaurant competition. Menus lighten with the onset of summer as longer days lend an alfresco feel to everyday living. July is the time for the Fete d’la Mair, St Peter Port’s open-air seafood celebration, whilst October is famous for its Tennerfest, when local chefs go head to head to create the ultimate cut-price autumn feast.
