The UK is located on the mid-latitudes between 50-60 N from the equator. The climate in UK differs according to season and location, but on the whole can be described as mild with few extremes. Summer is the hottest season starting from June to August.
Spring generally starts from March to May being the calm, cool and dry season. However, during the day time, temperatures may raise high with occasional thunderstorms and heavy showers. The autumn season is notorious in UK because of its cool polar air waves lasting from September to November. The winter season is generally cool, wet and windy with the 10 °C temperatures at night and 15 °C during the day time. It spans from December to February.
Climate in Northern Ireland
Ireland climate is a mix of mabundance rainfall and moisture. The summers are warm and winters are mild here. Northern Ireland is comparitevely warmer than Scotland. This country has more warmer days than rainy days .
May and June are the sunniest months, when the sunshine duration ranges from 5-6 hours per day. Whereas, in December the country receives an average sunshine of almost and hour a day in the North to 2 hours in the South.

Britain being an Island nation, the surround sea gives England an unpredictable climate. Britain is an island country and the surrounding sea gives England a varied climate. The weather is in Britain is varied and beyond guess.
Compared to other countries comprising the UK, England has maximum warmer days. July is the sunniest month in England. Because of the changing climate, the climate in UK is called Maritime climate. We never know what the weather will be like from one day to the other. It can be sunny one day and rainy the next. As we have such a variable climate changing from day to day, it is difficult to predict the weather. In general we have warm summers and cool winters. Our summers are cooler than those on the continent, but the winters are milder.
The warmest moths in England are July and August and February is the coldest month around the coasts. May to September is the best time to tour England.
Around the coasts, February is normally the coldest month, but inland there is little to choose between January and February as the coldest month.
Climate in Scotland
Scotland is the coolest country in the UK with an average temperature in January ranging from -0.2 °C (31.6 °F). Apart from June and July Scotland is cloudiest throughout the year. Maximum amount of sunshine is approximately 329 hours. The western coastal areas of Scotland are warmer compared to the eastern coasts due to the influence of Atlantic currents and cool surface temperatures of Northern sea.
Climate in Wales
The temperature of Wales is warmer throughout the year compared to Scotland. Wales is more drier than Scotland throughout the year except during the months of May, June and December. Spring season in Wales is from March to May and from June to August it is Summer, the hottest season.
