Regular Bank Accounts

The Duchy of Luxembourg is noted for the efficiency of its financial institutions and banking system and its strict confidentiality and regulations are guaranteed by National Law. It is the ideal Country in which an offshore corporation or a private individual should hold a bank account.
The clients will be introduced to one of the oldest and largest Banks in the Duchy which has connections and corresponding arrangements with other major banks Worldwide. The Bank offers the usual banking services and, of course, on-line banking facilities.
Requirements for Opening a Bank Account
For Corporate Accounts:
1: A copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
2: An extract from the meeting of the decision making body e.g: The Board of Directors, formally authorizing the company/corporation to open an account and nominating the individual (s) to operate such account on its behalf.
3: A certified copy of the identity card/passport of the individual(s)
The documents are sent directly to the Bank and upon receipt, the Bank will forward an application for completion and return. The account will then be opened. The process takes about 14 days. Alternatively, the documents can be sent to us and we shall be pleased to act as intermediaries to the satisfaction of the client and the Bank.
Private Accounts:
The bank will provide a copy of the questionnaire. This merely requires the client to give his/her personal data and it is not too detailed or intrusive. The questionnaire is sent to the Bank and again upon receipt the bank will forward an application for completion and return. This process also takes about 24 days.
