Anjouan now offers only one type of offshore banking license, This is known as CLASS B. The Onshore Banking licence is CLASS A. Class B is a full unrestricted license. This license allows you to take deposits and offer financial services to members of the public worldwide, to administer trusts, and to carry out all other business expected of a bank.
A reserve of USD 100,000 is required, which may either be in the form of an irrevocable guarantee from a foreign bank, or in the form of a deposit at the BANK OF ANJOUAN (Anjouan’s central bank). Both types of license may be granted to international companies at a fee of USD 17,000 per year.
The Paper works involved is minimal and approval can be granted very quickly. Indeed, ready-made but non traded banks are often available for purchase. You can administer your bank from anywhere in the world where local laws permit, and there is no need for you or your clients ever to travel to Anjouan. And best of all, your profits remain totally tax free and your accounts remain completely confidential.
