Nightlife in St. Maarten is sultry, steamy and starts to sizzle at midnight. Most hot spots are within walking distance of the Maho Beach Resort & Casino and Caravanserai Beach Resort.
On the south side – At the Maho village, start with dinner and dancing to Caribbean bands at Cheri’s Café and the Casino Royale Theatre, which offers Vegas-style dinner shows. Above that, is the Q-Club – a stylish club with a party atmosphere that has two levels of dance floors, two bars and DJs playing the hottest hits. Soprano’s Piano Bar, inspired by the HBO series, is popular with the over-30 crowd and features live music from 8 p.m.
A short walk along Maho Beach takes party-makers to the Caravanserai Beach Resort, home to Sunset Beach Bar, Bliss and Bamboo Bernie’s. Watch the sunset and feel the thrill of planes landing and taking-off from the runway at the world-famous Sunset Beach Bar! Landscaping by the ocean gives Bliss – lounge, bar, restaurant and nightclub – an exotic ambiance.
Keep these nights in mind: Tuesday’s half-price vodka martinis and two-for-one Thursdays! Bamboo Bernie’s is located by the rock-climbing tower and has a tropical décor. Nights include – reggae, barbecue and bonfire party on Thursdays, classic films on a screen on the beach on Sundays and Mondays; and Ladies Night on Wednesdays from 11p.m.-2 a.m.
Bobby’s Marina – Stop at the Greenhouse for ‘two-for-one Tuesdays’ and Indiana’s as recommended spots to dance the night away. Simpson Bay – For Spanish dancing, tourists should be sure to visit the Merengué Bar and The Boat
