Nightlife in Pakistan

To describe the night life in Pakistan, it is apparently dry and there is no nightlife as in the western countries. But in big cities like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad there are many clubs mostly owned by foreigners. Elites, boys and girls of higher status often go to the clubs to have a great time dancing through the night.

One of the popular clubs in Islamabad is "The Bassment" previously known as "Muddys". It is located in Marriott Hotel. You would find girls and boys of higher class and elites dancing and enjoying. Here, security is very strict and you may not be allowed to enter easily. This is where the modern side of Islamabad life can be experienced. If you want to drop in this place wear a dress which is not revealing.

In Lahore, there are many places where you can visit at any time during the night. The famous Food Street, the Lakshmi Chowk, Anarkali, Ichhra, Bhaati and Lohari Gate are all open throughout the night, offering every kind of delicious food. The city never sleeps at night especially during summer. You can easily find the transport till late night. There are movie houses, a theatre going public, music concerts and adult entertainment on traditional lines.

Al-Hamra Cultural Centre located on the beautifully tree lined, Mall Road is the place where many people head to for the night life in Lahore. Mall Road is the also the place where you can experience city’s cultural activities with Lahore’s intellectuals and artists.

Not less than the Islamabad and Lahore, Karachi also boasts of its night life with many bars nightclubs and dance halls sprouting across the city. To mention a few of them, Excelsior, Toby's bar, Purple Haze, Basement Club, Casbah are some of the popular ones for the night life in Karachi. Exotic cabaret artists are pouring in the city from countries as far as Phillipines and Turkey, performing better than the sultry home-grown talents from Karachi.

In short, you would find a wide range of bars, cafes and clubs all over Pakistan with many things to do, see and experience. The tourist resorts also have some of the popular clubs and any type of bar or club you are looking for. With all these, you can easily kill many hours enjoying the entertainment and nightlife in Pakistan.
