Nightlife in Malaysia

malaysia-nightlife1Malaysia is known for its liveliest night entertainment. Malaysia offers endless choices when it comes to after-dark amusement. Many restaurants here are equipped with a bar that comes into full swing at night.

The present heart of Kuala Lumpur's nightlife lies mainly in Bangsar. This area has been named as the Picadilly Circus of KL. This area is famous for its immense range of pubs, bars and discos. Phileo Promenade is another latest hot spot for party nocturnal. Malaysia nightlife has something to satisfy every taste of party lovers and blessed with entertaining live music, show performances and lady boys.

The nightlife specially in Kuala Lumpur is mainly concentrate in the areas like:

Kuala Lumpur downtowns also called "golden triangle" including Bukit Bintang is the heaven of maximum number of giant hotels and pubs. Much of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia nightlife, nightclubs and bars are within walking distance of the upper downtown.

Like this, KL China Town is also famous for its old government building and some of the traditional pattern of bars.

Third is the Klang Valley along the motorway to the old Subang airport, which includes Bangsar.

Almost all the nightlife girls in the Kuala Lumpur Beach Club are very positive minded, but be aware they are also materialistic minded sometime. Nightlife is sizzling, not only around the "golden triangle" in downtown KL but also in the entire downtown area. There are many European-style bars and nightclubs inside the luxury hotels of Golden Triangle. Bangsar, on the city fringe, is a serious rival to the city centre, with half a dozen streets of bars and eating places packed with a younger crowd.

KL Chinatown nightlife is rather slow burning for some people, as there are no girls or huge range of discos and nightclubs. But the clubs are hot, the people are pretty and the music goes all night in maximum night clubs in KL.  You get resident DJ's who are pumping out the music and plenty of celebrity spinners as well in a few clubs.

Although Malaysia is a Muslim country, alcohol is freely available in the capital and its nightlife is among the liveliest in Asia. Although strict government controls closed many bars so far, some of the well known clubs still there to entertain the masses. The legal drinking age in Kuala Lumpur is 21 years but it is a matter of ignorance for party bugs. Even though the bar closing time is 1 am in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s buzzing nightlife scene is one of the best in Asia. Few of Malaysian cities never sleep until the wee hours and with night spots pulsating to the rhythm of the night life. Here you will get pubs with live bands and jazz, discos, cinemas and complexes showing contemporary English, Malay, Chinese, Hindi and Indonesian movies and theatres.

At dusk, Malaysia reveals a new facet. Hotel lounges and clubs, frequently found within the larger hotels, are active at night. Although somewhat expensive, these clubs usually have entertainment on a nightly basis from Monday to Saturday. Performances and styles range from jazz to piano acts and popular music. The district which can give you a proper night out is the Jalan Sultan Ismail-Jalan P Ramlee which has emerged as the center of all nightlife and entertainment action.

Not only night entertainment, Kuala Lumpur will provide you a wide range of night markets where you can make your night out. Whatever you need to do from shopping, eating to walk through the night streets, you can have it according to your wish.

Galaxies away from the shopping malls are the night markets. The best nightly one will be the one at Petaling Street in Chinatown. Starts at about 7 P.M. or so this place is bestowed with different types of traditional items of Malaysia that you would definitely want to get. Popular among bargain-hunting locals, it is also a tourist haven for its varied choice of souvenir T-shirts, imitation watches, electronics, bags, and shoes. It is open every night, and is especially crowded just before the major festive holidays. It’s good if you can manage to go to a suburb market. It's less touristy but there are lots of exotic local delicacies you can try and probably even some useful items too.

If you want to buy something of Indian flavor then the place is not so far from Chinatown which is called Masjid India. The place is available with the varieties products that reflect custom and lifestyle. Rows of Indian Textile shops, Indian traditional clay and brass pots, sarees reflect the lifestyle and custom of India in that particular area. There are also several other night markets like Central Market and others around Petaling and Chow Kit which open till dawn. So, if you are planning to explore the Malaysia nights then do not forget to include night markets in your budget.
