You can also head to the beach for a wonderful nightlife experience. Generally between 5 and 7 P.M., most of the beaches and hotel bars charge you half the price or give you two beers for the price of one. There are many places for a great nightlife and the best spots are Dickenson Bay, Jolly Harbour and English Harbour. You should not miss to catch a view of beautiful sunset.  Many beach bars and hotels also offer barbecue parties apart from many places which offer life bands on different days and nights. The non-stop sound of calypso and reggae will keep your feet moving in the sand.

For the casino night life, in St.John's, the capital city of Antigua, you will find one just next to the cruise ship terminal, with slot machines, table games like blackjack, roulette and many more. There is a good old calypso band, regularly playing at the bar with a large crowd usually dancing and having fun. There are some more casinos in St. John's and on Dickenson Bay as well.

Most of the nightclubs and bars are open ones with clear views of stars, moon and clear sky. The ambience at the open air, the soothing fragrance from the surrounding gardens and the devilish sounds of the band will give you an exotic experience. You can spend an unforgettable romantic night dancing in the midst of old walls of Nelson's Dockyard further charmed by the gentle rocking of white yachts in the harbour. On the West Coast next to Crab Bay Beach, you should not miss the life bands playing every Thursday in "3 MARTINI", at this romantic place facing the Caribbean Sea.

You will also find some bars at St. John's offering jazz and disco music. Latin music is very popular in Antigua because of the presence of many people from the Dominican Republic and Venezuela on the island. If you want to go to Redcliffe Quay at aperitif time, never miss C&C Wine House, for a relaxing and pleasant start of the evening.

You must make your time for a memorable Sunday party at Shirley Heights, a lofty peak which overlooks English Harbour. This Sunday party is arranged every Sunday starting at around 3 P.M. with Antigua's best steel bands. Enjoy the barbecue, while the exhausted musicians give way to calypso and soca bands. As soon as the sun slides down mountains of Montserrat, everybody is ready for the gala time with the non-stop flashes of cameras and dancing getting wilder serving you the hottest cocktails. Thus, you can have a wonderful nightlife experience in Antigua for which you can cherish a long time.
