Cinemas in Curacao

The people of Curacao adore the carnivals, and actively participate in the elaborate song and dance spectacles. However, surprisingly they are not ardent cinema goers. There are three major cinemas in Curacao that show both Hollywood and local movies.

Sentro Pro Arte

Sentro Pro Arte is Curacao's national theatre where theatrical shows and plays are staged regularly. And during the carnivals, this theatre house is the centrepiece.

The Movies

The Movies is by far the biggest and the most organised cinema in Curacao. Housing 6 theatres with the latest equipment, it offers special discounts for groups of 20 and over. This entertainment complex opens at 12.00 pm and show matinees on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Spectators can choose from a wide range of quality snacks and drinks including popcorn, coca cola, sprite, juices, iced tea, cheese & sausage, nachos, pizzas and ice-creams.

W.T.C Cinema

Located at the World Trade Centre in Willemstad, the WTC Cinema is another popular hang-out among the cine-goers in Curacao. It shows the latest Hollywood potboilers as well as regional movies.
