Rules & Regulations
At least one member of the party must be resident in Dominica for a minimum of 15 days prior to the ceremony. Birth Certificates and proof of citizenship required.
In the case of a divorce, a decree of divorce is required. Where bereaved, must present a death certificate.
An application form (obtainable from the Ministry of Community Development, Govt. Headquarters, Roseau, must be completed after fifteen days. Allow one week for processing.

A statutory declaration on marital status must be obtained and sworn in Dominica in the presence of a lawyer. Application form and license by the President of Dominica is presented to the Justice of the Peace at the time of the marriage ceremony. |
Visitors can come to Dominica, apply for banns, and after publication in Church for three Sundays can be married.

Roman Catholic
Must fulfill Govt. requirements
Must have documentation from respective Parish Priests indicating that appropriate preparation courses have been followed.
Must visit the Parish Priest in Dominica who may offer counseling
Cost of Church wedding: EC$150
Methodist
Must fulfill Govt. requirements
Must publish banns and purchase marriage license
Must attend counseling sessions (normally three)
Cost of Church Wedding: EC$150
Receptions/Accommodation
Various hotels will arrange for the reception and wedding party accommodation.
