The Dominican Republic Global Film Festival is a one-of-its-kind-of film festival that provides an opportunity to enjoy some of the mind blowing movies from dramatic, documentary and international arenas. The Festival, which kicked off in 2007, is held annually with the objective of enriching Dominican Republic’s film culture and let this source of entertainment flow in to various segments of the Dominican society.
The annual event is a true attempt to offer people a better awareness and knowledge about the global issues via the movies, at the same time bringing into the light the remarkable contributions made by various people. The event fulfils its objectives by using movies as the channel for aiding people to discuss the various global issues and find solutions.
Dominican Republic Global Film Festival, along with being an event managed by non-profit organizations, is renowned for the role it plays for showcasing the talent hidden in the beautiful Caribbean Island and endorsing the nation as one among the exquisite destinations for making movies – thus being a prominent contributor to the developing economy of the nation.
