The Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), an annual fun-filled entertainment and shopping extravaganza, was launched in the year 1998 by the Dubai government to promote shopping and leisure activities during summers in Dubai. The event has earned itself a great name and is handled by the Dubai government departments and the DSS Office in order to promote Dubai as a family holiday destination.
