1: Windsurfing & Surfing Windsurfing remains a popular sport for long boarder and short boarders, the most popular bays for high winds are Cobo, Grandes Rocques, Ladies Bay and Pembroke. Qualified instructors are also available at Cobo and Ladies Bay. There is considerably new water sports centre that opened in July 2001 at Pembroke Bay, which includes windsurfing and surfing hire and instruction, dinghy sailing, kayaking, sea fishing, PADI and BSAC diving and even bike hire. 2: Yachting & Sailing
Sailing is a highly popular sport in Guernsey from large scale yachts to dinghy sailing. Training is provided by the Guernsey Yacht Club at Castle Emplacement. The two yacht clubs provide excellent club house facilities and organize races throughout the summer months.

3: Skim boarding
Skim boarding is a water sport that has similar characteristics to surfing. A skim boarder stands some distance from the shore and as a wave approaches they run toward the water, throw their board on the water less than an inch deep and glide out to the waves to perform tricks depending on how capable a boarder they are.

6: Angling/Fishing Trips
